Resort Location and
Description
Mrauk Oo Princess Resort is surrounded by magnificent
views of the blue mountain ranges, the Mrauk Oo River
and rice paddy fields. The architecture of Mrauk Oo
Princess Resort was inspiration from the traditions and
culture of the Rakhine people. Building started in
February 2007 and the resort opened in November 2008.
Access to Mrauk Oo Princess
Resort
To
come to Mrauk Oo, first you have to fly to Sittwe. A
minimum of two flights per day operate from Yangon, to
Sittwe and its take about sixties minutes during tourist
season from October to March. There are also some direct
flights coming from Thandwe (Ngapali) or Naypyidaw. Then
you have to take an incredible boat ride from Sittwe
Jetty to Mrauk Oo which can take about 3 to 5 hours by
boat (depending the tide time). It is a long way to come
but the life on the Kaladan River worth a cruise
experience. If you are taking Mrauk Oo Princess's Boat,
we will serve hot meals and drinks on board as our boats
are fully furnished to serve from 1 up to 15 guests.
Village House Description
Mrauk
Oo Princess has 21 "Village House" Style guest rooms
with view to river, rice fields or garden. Inside the
Village Houses are naturally lights up and also provides
you with fantastic views of the surrounding scenery. The
"Village House" interior facilities include a writing
desk, coffee table and chairs, divan, IDD telephone & a
wardrobe containing a safety deposit box. We also
provided with complimentary tea, coffee & mineral water.
24 hour room service is also available. The bathroom has
a bath tub with hot and cold water and a standing shower
room. Each "Village House" has a terrace overlooking the
different sights such as: garden, the traditional style
restaurant building, rice paddy fields, the river or
small fresh water ponds which are home to many varieties
of fishes, crabs, prawns and wild birds.
Resort Facilities
The Restaurant and The Bar
- We serve Traditional Rakhine, European and Vegetarian
cuisine. Private & romantic candle light dinners are also
available on request.
- We open from 10 am until midnight. We offer home made
special cocktails, classic cocktails, local beer, seasonal
fresh fruit juices, soft drinks, Spirits, Liqueurs, Wine and
Champagne with traditional snacks.
The Gift Shop and The Library
- It offers unique traditional Rakhine artifacts, gift
items, books and postcards. Most items are locally hand made
and uniquely designed for Mrauk Oo Princess Resort.
- We have a nice selection of books that you are more than
welcome to borrow during your stay here with us and you can
enjoy whilst relaxing on your terrace.

The Princess's Spa
The Spa welcomes
you throughout your stay at Mrauk Oo Princess Resort from 9 am to 10
pm (last booking at 9 pm) Appointments are recommended. We offer a
varied selection of treatments for body, beauty and mind. We also
propose meditation, local herbal medicine consultation and Reiki is
also available on request.
Wood and Stone Carving
We also do all
our own wood and stone carving at the resort. Guests can try their
hand at craving with our skilled carvers and experience time with
the artists while they are staying at Mrauk Oo Princess.
Special arrangement
Bicycling, Boat
Racing, Culture Shows, Private Dinning and Spa packages are also
available on request.
