Vietnam Extends 45-Day Visa-Free Travel to 12 More Countries! 🌏✈️
Planning a trip to Vietnam? Great news! From August 15, 2025, Vietnam will grant visa-free entry for up to 45 days to citizens from 12 new countries, making it easier than ever to explore this beautiful destination.
Who’s Included in the New Visa Waiver?
Citizens from the following countries can now enjoy 45 days in Vietnam without a visa:
🇧🇪 Belgium, 🇧🇬 Bulgaria, 🇭🇷 Croatia, 🇨🇿 Czech Republic, 🇭🇺 Hungary, 🇱🇺 Luxembourg, 🇳🇱 Netherlands, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇸🇰 Slovakia, 🇸🇮 Slovenia, and 🇨🇭 Switzerland.
This new policy will be valid from August 15, 2025 to August 14, 2028 as part of Vietnam’s tourism promotion program.
Current Visa-Free Countries
Before this update, Vietnam already offered 45-day visa exemptions to visitors from Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. Many ASEAN countries and a few others also enjoy visa exemptions ranging from 14 to 90 days.
Special Limited-Term Visa Waivers
Vietnam also introduced a special program for high-profile guests and experts—ranging from government invitees, scientists, and top investors, to cultural icons and tourism ambassadors—who can enjoy visa-free entry for socio-economic or diplomatic purposes.
